These are some of my hobbies that I do and love, so maybe this can be some inspiration for when you are bored.
Crochet- I started crocheting a few years ago and I think it is so fun and relaxing. This is something that takes a while to get the hang of, so don't expect to make a huge perfect project the first time you crochet. I really recommend watching YouTube videos for quick and easy tutorials for beginners. I started with practicing with different stitches and yarn types. Learning how to work with yarn makes creating projects way easier.
Reading- I never used to like reading because I didn't know what to read. My biggest recommendation for finding a book that you will actually enjoy, is to read books that are similar to movies or TV shows that you like. I am currently reading Perks of Being a Wallflower and it is really good. I would recommend it for young adults in high school.
Cooking/Baking- This hobby has some ups and downs to it. While it can be fun to make different foods, it does come with a lot of dishes. I am personally more of a baker than a chef however I enjoy making easy small meals. I have a delicious way of making boxed brownie mix. I use chocolate syrup instead of water, this makes them more fudgy and chocolaty. Or if you want to bake without a ton of dishes, or just something single serve. I recommend mug cakes, they are quick and easy to make. They are a little tricky to get the right recipe and the correct amount of time cooking, but I love them.
Sports- I play many sports, including volleyball, cheer leading, and track & field. Volleyball is my main sport, since I am tall I am usually in the front row. Sports are a great way to stay active in a fun way, and also to meet new people. Sports don't have to be through your school or a club, so don't let that stop you. If you have a pool or are near a beach, you can go swimming and get a workout from that. There are lots of ways and places you can get exercise.
I hope some of these hobbies inspired you to do something with your day today or helped choose a new one that you will do more often.
